About us

Stanley Moor Farm is nestled in the heart of the Peak District and has been our home since 2004. We’ve steadily built up our collection of animals, starting with a few hens and a couple of orphan lambs, and we’re now sharing our life with over 80 pets – oh, and 3 children!

It’s thought that the farm has been here for at least a couple of hundred years, but even in that time it’s unlikely to have had llamas in its fields. They’re a permanent fixture now and can often be seen out on a trek. Trekking with llamas is such a great way to see the Peak District National Park, as they walk at your pace and spot interesting things long before a mere human could. They’re a constant delight to anyone we meet on a trek and attract attention from walkers on distant hills, as they try to work out if the llamas are the Peak Park’s special breed of sheep or if they’ve just had too much to drink the night before!
